Bac Water is a sterile, non-pyrogenic water preparation used as a solvent in laboratory settings. It contains 0.9% (9 mg/mL) of benzyl alcohol, which acts as a preservative by inhibiting the growth of most contaminating bacteria. The inclusion of this agent allows for repeated withdrawals from a single vial while maintaining the sterility and integrity of the reconstituted research solution for approximately 28 days.

• After Opening: Once a vial is opened, the benzyl alcohol preservative remains effective for approximately 28 days. After this period, the vial should be discarded to prevent potential contamination.
• Safety: Handle using aseptic techniques in a clean or sterile environment to prevent contamination of the vial’s contents.
