IGF-1 LR3 (Long Arginine 3-IGF-1) is a synthetic, recombinant protein analogue of Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1). This analogue is structurally modified with an N-terminal extension of 13 amino acids and a substitution of an arginine for the glutamic acid at the third position. These modifications significantly reduce its binding affinity to IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs).
